Tie The Knot Wedding — Full Ceremony

A complete, traditional wedding ceremony with all the classic elements.

This is the full wedding experience — approximately 20 to 30 minutes, with a processional welcome, readings, the exchange of vows and rings, and a formal pronouncement. Every element can be personalized to reflect who you are as a couple.

Processional & Welcome

Friends and family, we are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the marriage of two people who have chosen to walk through life together. Marriage is not to be entered into lightly, but thoughtfully and with deep respect for the love you share and the life you are building.

Reading

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." — 1 Corinthians 13:4–7

Declaration of Intent

Do you take this person to be your lawfully wedded spouse? Do you promise to love, comfort, honor, and keep them, in sickness and in health, and forsaking all others, be faithful to them as long as you both shall live?

Exchange of Vows

I, [Name], take you, [Name], to be my wedded spouse. To have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part. This is my solemn vow.

Exchange of Rings

These rings are a symbol of your love — unbroken, unending, and given freely. As you wear them, may they remind you each day of the vows you have made and the life you are choosing together. With this ring, I thee wed.

Pronouncement & Kiss

By the power vested in me by the Universal Life Church and the State of California, it is my honor and joy to pronounce you married. What love has joined together, let nothing separate. You may now kiss your spouse.

Presentation

Ladies and gentlemen, family and friends — it is my great pleasure to present to you the newly married couple. Please join me in congratulating them!

Note: Readings, vows, and the ring ceremony can all be customized. You may choose your own readings — religious, secular, or literary — or Bob will prepare something meaningful for you.
